Choir! 26, 27, and 28

Happy early Valentine's Day, and as always, sorry for the long wait.

Well, it's a bittersweet moment. These three chapters are the whole reason I wanted to work on Choir! in the first place, and although it took way too long to get here (mainly my fault), here they are at last. It's sad, but fitting, that they be our final Choir! release.

Although it may not be the greatest manga in the world, I've grown quite fond of it over these three years, and its many crazy references taught me a lot of obscure stuff about Japan. I hope you've enjoyed it too. It should be unnecessary to say, but we encourage anyone who wants to continue work on Choir! to please feel free to do so.

As for translation notes, in Chapter 27 Shousei and Mayuko have a go at yobisute, which is the custom of dropping honorifics entirely and referring to someone only by their given name. This is the most intimate form of address in Japanese, and is a very romantic, coupley thing to do. Often though, as in this case, it's tough to make bold changes like that...

Anyway, after this we're hoping to put out some more Kimi no Tame before long. Please look forward to it.

  2. Wow! Many thanks for your hard work bringing us choir to this point.

Im sad but understand why you wont be doing more here- if some other group does pick it up, I hope it keep developing along these lines- i.e proper yuri relationships - not just fan service or god forbid introduces guys..

But those last few chapters more than lived up to how amazing you said they were all along!

I've noticed yuri manga/anime (or ones with hints of yuri) that are mostly comic or light hearted, will never actualy go somewhere, like you cant have some serious stuff too, like they will scare the fans off or something?

I loved yuri yuri, and a-channel, (hidamari sketch, lucky star to to name 2 more )..but I just knew they wouldnt take the yuri anywhere :(

Poor Ayano will never get a break with Toshino :( So I'm amazed that choir did what it did here!

Maybe the best fulfilling of my wishes for a yuri couple ever lol! moreso because I never thought it realy WOULD go somewhere.

Don't worry. Choir is over, and the ending is a marriage. Not involving guys. You can guess between who.

My problem solely was the stuff in between, ie Mawata-related sheningans where she forced a clearly unhappy looking Mayuko and Shirayuki into loliyuri situations while nearly nude. Not fun, not nice at all, and possibly illegal where I live. That's why I decided to drop it. I'm too much of a squeamish jerk to do those chapters.

    1. Thats great :) wow I'd never of thought it would go that far! I dont understand why they do the Mawata stuff- is that why anyone was reading it?

In fact I was hoping she would come around to falling for that girl who loves her- forget her name but she seemed serious- I felt sorry for her- and Mawata would be an idiot to throw aside a real love for all her messing about..

How many chapters is left to the end? Hadn't realised it had alreay ended.. is it lots? I hope someone picks it up - I can just ignore the dodgey bits and read the rest.. I SO want to read the wedding now I know about it!

Maybe the yuriproject with their crowd sourcing could take it if no other group does.. nobody said anything yet?

If down the line no group is working on it, maybe you could just do the wedding chapter/s?

    2. See the other reply, I don't know where to get the raws from today, I'm sorry x.X A different anon found them after I lost em ages ago, and I don't know where they got them from.

      As for how many chapters are left, about as much as the ones we translated, I think? I am not 100% sure. It's 3 volumes, and we're probably in the middle of the second or so. I really can't say, I never had the manga volumes. Hence the scan quality being so eh. ^^;

      Do agree on Kyouko tho.

I'd like to say first and foremost thank you soooo much for working on this series and thank you for telling us how it ends at least.

But I wanted to ask.... is there anyway you can give us a link to downloading the raw chapters? Do you know where we die hard fans can get them?

    1. I honestly can't. I used web raws I acquired years ago, lost them, someone found them again, and months ago I just deleted em for above mentioned reasons.

I'd like to give them, but I can't.

    2. OK, thank you anyways, we good-for-nothing anons really appreciate your work anyways.

And to the other people looking for the raws, if I get my hands on them I'll be sure to post them in this thread.

  7. Thanks for your work, but could at least tell us where we can find the raws of the remaining chapters?
Since you won't continue please let us see what's next (and the marriage you were talking about).
