Choir, Chapters 15, 16, 17, and 18
We are pleased to bring you chapters 15-18 of Choir.
One thing I enjoy about Choir, and that (to me) sets it apart from being just another "moe" manga, is that the characters are all extremely genre-savvy. They may not know they're manga characters, but they are certainly aware of the clichés that come with living in one.
Chapter 16 is a positive example of this: several of the old negative stereotypes about yuri relationships are directly pointed out, just so that they can be dismissed - both by words directly after, and by action and emotion in many subsequent chapters.
However, Mayuko and Shousei aren't the only ones for whom feelings are strengthening. A new pairing is beginning to emerge as well, though stormy weather is visible in the distance...
We hope you will enjoy.
Read it on dynasty.

BIG THANKS FOR THESE CHAPTERS :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for this!
ReplyDeleteJust to let you know, the file from MU seems to be corrupt, two files have an error (downloaded twice), MF is fine though.
Thank you so much! You are truly a god in my eyes.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the release!

ReplyDeleteRight, all while blissfully succumbing to new negative stereotypes, like one of the girls being the positive, pursuing partner and the giver of the relationship, with the other one taking her for granted and keeping her at arm's length. And of course, the former is forbidden from realizing how she's being treated and has to keep on adoring the latter for no good reason.

Still, thanks a lot for the new chapters. I'm still hoping Mayuko will grow up in later chapters to become even remotely worthy of Shousei.
"other one taking her for granted and keeping her at arm's length."
ReplyDeleteAccording to Okazu's review, she later apologizes for this.

ReplyDeleteYou don't need to worry. Mayuko more than makes up for her mixed signals in later chapters. Please look forward to seeing it. In the meantime though, try not to take it so seriously. Remember this is still a comedy series, and Mayuko's mischievous behavior is mostly intended as such. Not to mention the fact that, if you're worried about one girl loving another who doesn't love her back, Shousei/Mayuko isn't the pair you should be concerned about...
Thanks you very much.
ReplyDeleteJust so you know I downloaded this from Megaupload and when I tried to decompress it my computer said that this file was broken. :(
