As it turns out, the cast of Choir hail from very diverse regional backgrounds, as we learn in great detail in chapter 20...
Also of note, Chapter 21 involves mahjong, which has become almost the official tabletop game of yuri, thanks to a certain other well-known series. I'm grateful to my friend Claire for having pushed me into learning to play. In addition to being enjoyable in its own right, knowing the game greatly simplified the translation of this chapter.
Although we did our best to provide helpful explanatory notes, we offer our apologies if non-players still find themselves confused; the chapter assumes at least a basic knowledge of the game.
As to the aforementioned yuri, it increases dramatically within the next seven chapters, so please look forward to it. We'll be doing our best to bring them to you soon.

Hmmm...I was surprised to see the Pretty Sammy reference (punning off of "Pretty Mutation! Magical Recall!") in Ch. 19, until the prefectural battle broke out. ^_^ It's getting good when the reason *why* in-jokes are present is itself another layer of in-joke! ^_-

ReplyDeleteNo. We like Choir, regardless of what others may consider "better". We might postpone work on it, as we did for Oniyuri and Himeyuri, but only temporarily.

ReplyDeleteWe aren't doing Amnesian anymore. At all. As for more Choir, we were really hoping to release 22-25 this month, but real life affairs have intervened...barring a windfall, except them sometime next month.

ReplyDeleteOur reasons for dropping Amnesian are only three posts below this one...Oniyuri and Himeyuri is a one-shot. Meaning, there isn't any more.
ReplyDeletemy,I just got to this series just recently and it was pleasant!! usually, I never expected a series like this to go "full-blown" in case of yuri relationship, but it was indeed a pleasant surprise when we see Mawata and the hime-cut loli confess to each other..^^
